Report: Hospice and Care Benchmarking report 2019/2020

The Hospice and Care Benchmarking Survey Report is the third study from Haysmacintyre Solicitors, sharing best practice in the care and hospice sector, enabling management and trustees to assess their own structure, governance and monitoring procedures.  The data was collated prior to the Covid pandemic but makes several references to it in the report with regard to the findings.

Article: Staying in touch while keeping your distance – fundraising customer systems during and post Covid

The article reports on the survey of 300 charities Customer Relationship Systems – CRM’s.  While Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge continues to dominate the big organisations in the £10m income, it reports on newer systems enjoying considerable success and high levels of satisfaction for organisations with smaller budgets.

Report: Embedding new ways of working: implications for the post-pandemic work force

This report published September 2020 summarises the results of a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) survey of over 1,000 employers during the first 3 months of the Covid-19 pandemic.  It covers workforce costs, furloughing, redundancies and flexible working.  It reports on the unprecedented shift to homeworking and the high probability there will be no returning to “business as usual” post the pandemic.

Report: The Make Every Child Count Study

This new study confirmed that the number of children in England with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions has continued to rise over the last 17 years.  It acknowledges there is an urgent need to make sure that children’s palliative care services are properly planned, funded and delivered.  It’s hoped the study will make it easier for government, the NHS, children’s palliative care providers and others to do this.  Published April 2020.
