Report: Together for Short Lives Three Year Strategy 2015-18

Article: Does your health and social charity comply with 'deprivation of liberty' rules/

Since the 1st April 2015, any organisation registered with the Care Quality Commission must be able to ensure that any deprivation of liberty of a service user is authorised.  This article provides an overview how charities can ensure they comply with the new law, identify possible deprivations of liberty and the steps a charity needs to take to ensure they receive authority from the Court of Protection.
