News: Parliament Bill introduced to allow trustees time off from work

From Civil Society Magazine, an update on the Charity Trustees (Time off for Duties) Bill which had its first reading in the Commons on the 18th March.  It proposes that Trustees should be allowed to take a reasonable amount of time off work to carry out their duties.  It is hoped it will help with the role of a trustee appealing to a wider group of people.  The 2nd reading of the bill takes place on the 22nd March.
